On a 2025 tour I received an invitation to visit some underground tunnels (Maison Blanche Souterraines) carved from chalk, in this photo a ‘Canadian Tommy’ has carved a post box for attacking soldiers to leave a letter for his loved ones, if he returned he retrieved his letter, if not then it was sent to his family 🌺
