Our last stay this week was at our recently added park, Dierenbos!

This is a sister park to Beekse Bergen, but with farm animals rather than safari animals!

🏖️ We stayed in a new 3 bedroom Edelhert cottage looking out directly onto the lake area.

🏠 The accommodation was spacious, stylish and with child-friendly decor. We also appreciated the covered deck.

💦 We enjoyed the small indoor pool which was warm, had floats to play with and has a fab waterside! There is also an outdoor pool which opens in the summer.

👶🏻 The kids loved the indoor and outdoor play areas, helping care for the goats, and we managed to fit in a round of bowling too!

🦒 🍄 Dierenbos is ideally located, 30 mins from both Beekse Bergen and Efteling and just 15 mins from the historic city of Den Bosch.

When staying at Dierenbos you get a 1 day attractions pass to visit either Beekse Bergen Safari Park, Speelland, Eindhoven Zoo, ZooParc Overloon and some other attractions a bit more further afield.

Our room at the Efteling Grand Hotel looked out over the Fairytale Forest. This is the heart of Efteling where the classical fairytales such as Hansel and Gretel, Snow White and Little Red Riding Hood have been coming alive for over 70 years.

Take your time wandering through the forest, past the musical toadstools and the fairytale characters’ houses. Let the smell of biscuits and sweets at Hansel and Gretel’s house, and the sound of the snoring giant transport you into the world of these magical fairytales.

And keep an eye out for the Talking Tree, who loves chatting to passing children!

We have absolutely loved our time at Efteling this week and would like to thank Efteling for facilitating our stay.

We’ve been so excited about this! We’re finally here, on a press trip at the Efteling Grand Hotel and it’s incredible!! We’re staying in a Premium Deluxe room overlooking the fairytale forest. It’s a game changer staying overnight inside the theme park!

Our room is large, cool (definitely a bonus in these warm days!), and has 2 enormous, very comfortable double beds. We love the colour scheme, the luxury toiletries in the bathroom and the frog teddies and little suitcases for the kids were a big hit.

We’ll be doing a full review of our stay but here are a few photos for starters.

“Madurodam, much more than a miniature Netherlands”

🇳🇱 At Madurodam you can meander amongst famous buildings, cities and landmarks in the Netherlands and learn about the culture and heritage and trade of the country in a fun and interactive way.

✈️ As you stroll through the open air museum you come across numerous areas where there are places to explore and play. You can try stacking containers onto ships, control dams and waterlocks and even take an imaginary flight on a KLM plane.

🇬🇧 Some of the newest attractions have the option of joining an English language or Dutch queue which means you don’t miss out on anything.

🛝 There’s also a super cute Miffy playground and a large play area with food outlets too.

⭐️ New Attraction Added ⭐️

🍫 We recently added The Chocolate Factory to our website following our visit earlier this year.

🇳🇱 If you’re looking for a stopover or an activity for a few hours whilst in the Brabant area of the Netherlands, then this is a fun interactive experience worth trying out.

🏭 It is best suited to 6 year olds upwards and has a fun technology focus. Collect points along the way as you complete activities and see who will top the daily scoreboard. Don’t forget to create your own chocolate sprinkles to take home.

We (Laura and family) have just stopped off in sunny Koksijde on the Belgian coast! This is one of our favourite pit stops between Calais and the Netherlands! Huge beaches and a beach promenade with restaurants, beach bars and family go-kart hire 🏖️ 🇧🇪
