Are you an experienced and skilled Class 1 HGV Driver looking for an exciting opportunity in the transport and logistics industry? We have a fantastic position available for a reliable and motivated individual to join our team as a Class 1 driver at our Waltham Abbey location.
Position: Class 1 HGV Driver
Location: Waltham Abbey
Key Responsibilities:
• Transporting container and bulk shipments from Europe, including Holland, France, Germany, and other European destinations.
• Operating Class 1 HGV vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all road safety regulations.
• Loading and unloading cargo at the London Gateway and Felixstowe ports.
• Ensuring timely deliveries and efficient route planning to meet customer demands.
Requirements:
• Valid Class 1 HGV license with a clean driving record.
• Must possess valid port cards for London Gateway and Felixstowe ports.
• Prior experience with container and bulk shipments is preferred.
• Ability to handle various types of cargo and ensure its secure transportation.
• Flexibility for tramping, staying away from home as required for extended periods.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience as a Class 1 HGV driver, with a strong track record of safety and reliability.
• Excellent understanding of road safety regulations and best practices.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle time-sensitive deliveries and maintain a high level of professionalism.
