🚛 Custom Steel Partitioned Container Project | Cheltenham

Boxtor recently supplied a self-storage site in Cheltenham with a further order which included 18 x 20ft 1 trip (new) standard RAL 5013 containers, 3 of which were 20ft double-door units all fitted with custom welded steel partition walls.

Each double-door container was divided into two separate storage units of approximately 80 sq ft, with independent access via the cargo doors at either end.

This gives self-storage operators several advantages:

✅️ Higher number of rentable units from the available space
✅️ Smaller storage options for customers
✅️ Potential for a higher return from one container
✅️ A cost-effective alternative to two standalone 10ft units
✅️ A clean, secure and professional internal finish

The steel partition walls are welded securely into place and painted in RAL 7035 light grey to match the container interiors.

Boxtor can also provide plywood dividers or removable steel partition walls, allowing the unit to be converted back into a standard 20ft container when required.

The three bespoke units were delivered alongside 15 standard one-trip containers. Using a dedicated HIAB crane truck and coordinated flatbed deliveries, all 18 containers were offloaded and positioned in a single working day.

🚛 Bespoke Container Project Completed | Sunburst Snacks, North London

Every business has different storage requirements - and sometimes a standard shipping container simply isn't enough.

Boxtor recently supplied a fully customised 40ft High Cube shipping container to Sunburst Snacks, designed specifically for the secure storage of dry food products.

The project included a range of bespoke modifications, including:
✅ Ply-line and insulation on the internal walls and ceiling
✅ Specialist air vents made-to-order to protect contents against rodents and insects
✅ Electric pack including: 4 DG power sockets and LED lighting
✅ Full external respray in RAL 9003 (Signal White)
✅ Heavy-duty forklift loading ramp

The installation also presented a unique challenge due to restricted access and overhead telephone wires. This meant that our logistics team had to carefully plan all aspects of the delivery with our drivers who manoeuvred a 95-tonne HIAB crane with extended reach to safely position the container alongside the warehouse.

It's another great example of how Boxtor delivers far more than standard shipping containers - providing fully customised storage solutions tailored to each customer's operational requirements.
