Just a notebook, a laptop and a dream that started because I wanted to show my kids more of the world 🌍

TFL-Voyage was never about selling holidays.

Throwback to Madeira 🇵🇹🌿

Over the years we’ve ended up creating a bit of a family tradition.

January can be a tough month.

Christmas is over.
The decorations come down.
The weather is grey.
Everyone goes back to work and school.

So a few years ago we started doing something different.

We started giving ourselves something to look forward to.

A little January escape.

Not because life is bad.

But because having something on the horizon makes those dark winter weeks feel a little brighter.

We’ve done a few January trips now, but Madeira was definitely one of the favourites.

The scenery was incredible.
The food was fantastic.
And the kids still talk about it now.

The truth is… Sometimes travel isn’t really about the destination.

It’s about creating traditions your children will remember long after they’ve grown up 🌍❤️

As a dad who travels with kids, this is actually brilliant news 👏✈️

From 8 July, children aged 8 and 9 will be able to use UK eGates when arriving back into the UK (as long as they’re travelling with an adult and meet the requirements).

Now, if you’ve ever landed after a long flight with tired kids, hand luggage, and everyone desperate to get home… you’ll know why this matters 😅

It’s one of those small changes that won’t make headlines for most people, but for travelling families it could mean:

✔️ Less queueing
✔️ Less stress
✔️ Faster journeys through the airport
✔️ Happier parents

The truth is, family travel is rarely about one big thing. It’s usually the little wins that make the biggest difference.

Good morning!

The older I get…the more I realise we’re not really paying for holidays.

We’re paying for:
🌍 memories
✈️ perspective
☀️ time together
🧠 experiences our kids will carry forever

That’s why we prioritise travel. Not because life is perfect. But because time goes fast!

Travelling with kids is funny because…

One minute it’s:
🌍 magical memories
✈️ excited faces
☀️ beautiful moments

…and the next it’s:
😅 someone crying
😅 carrying 14 bags through the airport

But honestly?

That chaos becomes part of the memories too.

And somehow… it’s always worth it
