" Marriotts Way " delivered to Norwich to a very excited young man.

A Heritage Line Layout due to his volunteering in that field.

8ft 6" x 4ft 6" plus shelf, built in one piece. Now sits proudly in the conservatory.
DCC wired, Dapol Ltd signals, Layout Concepts motors and levers, Heljan turntable.

Whilst there, out came the extensive collection of Accurascale UK sound fitted locos, and boy did they sound good.

One of my clients is selling his layout if anyone is interested.
Great price and would suit a quiet corner somewhere in your home.

ā€˜Wilson’s Halt’ is a highly realistic and detailed OOgauge shunting layout. Stunning detail. Professional built to very high spec. by Simon at Bespoke Trax. In perfect and full working order. Fully wired including lighting for night operations.

" Marriotts Way " is a Heritage line layout.

Layout is now complete but at the request of the client, I was asked to install semiphore signals, so whilst I wait for those, you guys can have a sneaky peak.....

If you run a DCC layout , then may I suggest and recommend you install these at the end of your bus wire.
I fit these to all my layouts.
Very simple to fit. They come in packs of 2 as you only require 2, one for each end of your bus.
The best part, cheaper than rivals and there's an LED to see they are working.
DCC spike busters (or bus suppressors) are devices installed at the end of model railway power bus wires to eliminate high-voltage spikes, protect decoders, and ensure cleaner signals. They prevent damage to locos.
These guys also carry out loco and Heljan turntable repairs, so take a look and grab yourself a pair whilst stocks are high.

0 gauge "Lockton Lane TMD" came in looking for a makeover.
Scenic section is 8ft x 2ft + traverser.

First 5 photos show BEFORE

The new owner is a previous client and will be taking this layout to exhibitions in the very near future, so if you can make the time, please go along and say hello. Will list venues below.

Originally built by Tim Lowe who had already done the hard work. Everything was scratch built and to an excellent standard.

My job was to make it resemble a working dirty depot as it was far to clean when it arrived.
Virtually everything was either loose or removable which made the job easier,so I stripped it back to track. Some repair and touch up work to the baseboards,so out with the filler, paint, wood glue, trims and clamps.
Once repaired, onto rebuilding. All the shrubs were ripped up and I think stuck with evo stick, very tough to remove.
Air brush weathered throughout. New boundary fence installed. New hillsides formed against new sheet piling. Parking area had the ballast covered as not realistic at all.
Lots of Bunters Yard details added throughout.
Office needed repositioning from the centre of the yard area to the side to create more vehicle access. New light and wiring and 2 chaps installed. Light installed at the fuel pump to replace a broken tall yard lamp and another chap glued into place. The ladder from that lamp was salvaged and used for detail.

I hope you like the makeover and I hope the original owner/ builder is happy with my work. ( apparently he is )

Exhibitions to see Lockton Lane are-

Brockenhurst New Forest MRS 23 +24th May

Sparsholt Memorial Hall, Wi******er SO21 2NR Sunday 26th Aug

I shall be delivering this back to its new owner Sunday ,Thornbury model Railway Exhibition 2026.

Thought I’d show you a selection of photos of some past work whilst I finish the 2 current builds, so people can see what I build and get a good idea of the sort of quality I’m on about. Built to last, as all my clients would testify too.

I’ve spent my life in construction, so I’ve always had the mindset: do it properly, or don’t bother. That pretty much sums up how I build these layouts, too. No shortcuts, no flimsy bits, no ā€œthat’ll doā€ jobs.

A lot of people I speak to have always fancied a model railway, but never really knew where to start. Some haven’t got the time, some haven’t got the confidence, and some just don’t want the hassle of trying to sort it all themselves. Fair enough, and that’s where I come in.

Have a look through the photos which come from a variety of many layouts.

If you’ve been thinking about a model railway for a while, feel free to drop me a message and have a chat.

Friday saw the arrival of an O gauge layout "Lockton Lane".
Scenic section is 8ft. Set end of 80's very early 90's.

It came in looking for a sprinkling of Bespoke Trax fairy dust. It's a fabulous layout and credit due to the private chap who built it, but it needs a little extra detail, so let the makeover begin.
Time is tight. The next show is May 2026 at Brokenhurst, New Forest. Hope you can be there to view.

Did you know,....... Bespoke Trax started with a vision to build slotcar layouts.
I built these layouts shown in the videos which I've just found from my previous Youtube account which I cancelled, hence the quality music. For whatever reason I deleted my Youtube account where the 5 or 6 videos I had of this large scenic layout had nearly half a million views with well over a thousand positive comments, AARRGGHH

At the time of building these for myself many years ago, ( though would now build using MDF and routed ), and thinking how wonderful it would be ( not to be beaten by the boss ) to make a career from building these. Alas, model railways has a larger audience and following and so here we are, though I do fancy building myself a small slotcar track again when time permits.
The next railway layout is progressing well inbetween finishing my extension at home; and it's called " Marriotts Way " 8.5ft x 4.5ft.
