Tommy's Trains

Tommy's Trains We are Tommy and Daddy and we love visiting railway stations to see trains and to record our adventures.

Visit our YouTube channel to see all of our videos and shorts or take a look at our Instagram page for photos we've taken 🚂 We are Tommy and Daddy and we love trains.

🚂 Tommy has loved trains from an early age, watching other people's YouTube videos before being inspired by local Trainspotters Harry and Tristan to create his own.

🚂 Daddy had a mild interest in trains until Tommy made it an obs

ession for both of us, inspiring Daddy to get a job on the railway which he loves.

🚂 Our main aim is to have fun together, visiting stations seeing interesting trains but our biggest priority is always SAFETY!!

🚂 We try to upload 2-3 videos a week as well as a daily short to Youtube as well as photos to Instagram. Videos are taken on a Google Pixel phone and uploaded in 4K

🚂 Cramlington and Morpeth are our local stations which we visit after Tommy finishes school through the week. During school holidays and on weekends, we try to venture further away.

We were so happy when we realised we'd see Class 20 locomotives for the first time when we were trainspotting at Lockerbie Railway Station and they certainly didn't disappoint.

We absolutely love seeing Class 70 locomotives, even more so when the driver is happy to blast the horn like yesterday whilst we were at Carlisle Railway Station.

We've been to Carlisle today to see the new Lumo service on the West Coast Mainline.

We also got to see two Class 70 locomotives and Tommy managed to beat Daddy at Pool to cap off a brilliant day of trainspotting in the sun 🎱🚄😎

Part 2 of our Manors trip is now available on YouTube and we'll try to get today's adventure edited and uploaded for release tomorrow 😊

We absolutely love trainspotting at Manors Railway Station and that's where we've been this morning, with lots of action as seen below.

Manors is just north of Newcastle Central Station and it has a great island platform where you're surrounded by three lines and six signals which help indicate when a train is coming.

In this video, we saw a "Doubler" Cross Country Voyager on the Down Line, with the leading train being one of the new look liveries and the rear train in Cross Country's older colours. Then on the through line, a GBRF freight train heading towards Lynemouth pulled by a Class 66 locomotive, 66768 Yvonne Bradley giving us a horn blast as it passes. Then finally, a Northern sprinter, Class 158 arrives on the Up Line and stops at platform 1. A mad minute of action.

It's been a slow start to Tommy's half term but we got going today with a trip to Heworth Railway Station, Heworth Metro Station and for the first time, Fellgate Metro Station. We saw this GBRF Class 66 Locomotive on its way from Lynemouth to Tyne Coal as well as another light loco Class 66, lots of Northern's and lots of the new Metro trains.

We don't have anything big planned for this half term but hope to get out on lots of little adventures so keep an eye out for more content.

Tommy witnessed a fantastic crossover between two trains with an LNER Azuma heading south and a Cross Country Voyager heading north on the East Coast Mainline at Acklington Railway Station. The Cross Country Voyager gave us a huge horn blast as it passed.
