The ceiling of the property in Galashiels had collapsed and the building had been a regular target for vandalism before the Hike & Bike Hub moved in.

It's been a busy, busy day today 😊🏁

Business Minister Tom Arthur today visited thriving social enterprise Hike & Bike Hub in Galashiels, to find out how their new premises is supporting the regeneration of the town! 🚴‍♂️

Earlier this year they bought the derelict property to provide more space to expand their services, with plans to also create four bunkhouse style rooms.

We're proud to have supported their move, alongside partners and the local community. 🤝

A great effort from our litter picking team this morning 💪🏻 bags and bags and bags of rubbish and weeds were cleared from areas around Tesco, Market Square and Bank Street. And George even pulled a trolley from the river below Douglas Bridge!
