At RTX Scotland, Fraikin showcased its first truck fitted with 360° AI cameras alongside the Samsara system, now out on hire with a customer.

Speaking at the event, Fraikin’s Digital and Technical Development Manager Colin Woolmer explained how the system provides full visibility around the vehicle, with AI technology that can recognise objects such as cyclists and issue an audible warning to the driver.

The technology can also detect driver behaviour, identifying when attention shifts away from the road for example, if a driver is looking at their phone and triggering alerts.

“It’s not there to catch drivers out, it’s about duty of care,” said Woolmer. “You can prove a driver has done everything right and isn’t responsible for an accident.”

A powerful example of how smart technology is helping improve driver safety and fleet accountability across the industry.

At RTX Scotland, the recently launched RADC 2.0 took centre stage, now enhanced with outline markers/stalks and an integrated reversing bleeper.

Aspöck was also discussing its widely compatible tyre pressure monitoring system, featuring an intelligent autolocate function that clearly identifies which tyre has low pressure helping operators improve safety and efficiency on the road.

We were delighted to welcome WNV Systems to RTX Scotland 👏

A real highlight at the show was their innovative internal trailer wash unit. As Sales Director Darren Bright explained, the system automatically enters the load space to deep clean and sterilise interiors, ideal for situations where personnel access isn’t suitable and for operations requiring high-level cleaning between diverse loads.

WNV Systems’ commercial vehicle wash solutions support public service and logistics fleets, keeping vehicles clean inside, outside and underneath. As Darren put it: “A clean vehicle is a longer-lasting vehicle — what we do makes your business run better, not just cleaner.”

A huge thank you to WNV Systems for exhibiting and showcasing such forward-thinking solutions at RTX Scotland.

Running gear specialist BPW drew strong interest at RTX Scotland with its EBPMS (electronic brake performance monitoring system), particularly from operators running ADR vehicles.

Sales engineer Richard Brodie shared that BPW may be the only business currently offering telematics with an ADR specification. With upcoming brake test and calibration requirements on the horizon, EBPMS sparked plenty of conversations at the show.

The system offers a practical solution for operators and dealers who face the challenge of brake testing ADR trailers, especially when workshops are reluctant to handle trailers loaded with gas.
