🚨 🚨 🚨 BOLAND MARINE ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨 🚨 🚨

The last few weeks have been tough - there is no denying it. The paperwork, manual labour in the workshop, problems solving, setting up, calibrating and so on. Many long and hard hours have gone into expanding Boland Marine Ltd.

However, that also leads on to some exciting news!

WE ARE RECRUITING!!!!

We have opened three roles, for start in September:

!!!!BOLAND MARINE LTD UPDATE!!!!

This week marks exactly one year since I left my role as System Design Authority at BAE Systems Boats, on 4th June to be exact. That is 365 days, 52 weeks, 12 months or 525600 minutes if you count your time in those. It is a long time – and also not very long at all.

Some may wonder what I have been up to in that time – well our third child was born a month ago and his family love him, but mainly on the work front, I have been extremely busy. Whilst bringing the more desk-based work in, I have also done some leisure surveys, but the biggest highlight (no, not including the baby!) is the expansion of Boland Marine Ltd and the addition of another sector to the business!

Earlier this year Boland Marine Ltd moved into a commercial unit in Gosport, and started the boatbuilding sector of the business.

This is incredibly exciting for me, not only do I get an office away from the house, I also have a second website courtesy of Annabelle Wolstencroft who worked hard to build it better than I thought it would be! And I get to work hands on and not just sit behind a desk!

With moving into the workshop, and after extensive setup and preparation, the build of our flagship vessel hull plug has commenced and is in full progress, with the plan to get the boat on the water by next spring. A special thanks to Mark Prothero for willingly being dragged into some of the set up work when popping by for a chat!

We are also working on some smaller boats which we hope to have on the water this year and I will update everyone as things go!

This is a major development for my business and one I have been working hard towards for a long time. There are still many long days, some nights and the occasional Saturday morning of hard graft on the horizon to keep things on track, but I hope that the business will continue to thrive and grow as I have always hoped it would.
