The Zen Badminton club has been set up to provide the opportunity for all badminton players out there to learn the skills and techniques involved with the sport and use those skills to play beautiful Badminton. This also provides an opportunity to be part of a club that caters for different levels and helps each individual to improve their badminton skills and fitness. As with all sports there are different styles of badminton exists all around the world. Some styles focuses on speed, some on control and technique. The style that is promoted within Zen Badminton Club is to play the game in a control fashion. The club uses a system 25% practice and 75% play during each session. Training will be made available to players who want to improve their game, and matches will be arranged to try out the new skills learned in training in a competitive environment. For Individuals that are interested in improving their badminton fitness, court time will be dedicated for fitness drills that will improve footwork, movement and stamina using tried and tested badminton drills. Plans are in place to also hold quarterly tournaments so the club members can play against each other in a competitive environment and improve their game. Depending on availability and interest, we will also register the club in the harrow, hillingdon league next season, so matches can be played against other clubs. This again will help improve each player's skill and ability to compete in real match conditions.
