🌟 Check out my review!🙌 Hotel Jardin Tecina ~ La Gomera🌟

I recently returned from a fantastic trip to La Gomera, staying at the Hotel Jardin Tecina.

🏨The hotel is located at the top of a cliff with stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean & Mount Teide in Tenerife.

The grounds are honestly jaw- droppingly beautiful, it was like walking around a huge botanical garden! If you’re into your plants like me (clearly getting old!!) then you’ll literally be stopping every 5 minutes to take photos 🤣 🌴🌺I think my favourites were the breathtaking palm trees of every height & variation, frangipani (smells divine), colourful hibiscus & oleander which smelt like marzipan!

The hotel has its own banana plantation & has free bananas you can help yourself to!🍌🍌

🥘The hotel has a main buffet restaurant & there were 4 others we could book. We really like La Trattoria with its Italian dishes & wood fired pizza.

The buffet restaurant had an excellent choice of dishes, with lots of flavours from La Gomera & Spain. I genuinely think it’s probably the best variety AND quality of food I’ve had in a hotel. Lots of vegan & vegetarian choices too. We particularly loved the local palm honey (miel de Palma), goats cheese & mojo rojo & mojo verde…local sauces that seem to go with anything!

👙The hotel has a fantastic spa ~ Spa Ahemon ~ with its own roof top heated pools, hydrotherapy jets, sun loungers & use of the steam room & jacuzzi. You also get poolside waiter service for food & drinks! It costs €22 pp to use it for the day & was the perfect way to relax in peace & tranquillity!

🌅The hotel organises a fantastic selection of guided walks. We got to learn about the island’s volcanic landscape on a geological walk. You can explore the beautiful hotel grounds on a botanical walk, discover the banana plantations and Eco Finca, or enjoy a magical walk under the stars.

🙌Would I recommend this hotel? Absolutely! It’s in a stunning location, ideal for exploring & relaxing. It’s the perfect reminder that you don’t need a huge island to have a holiday packed with adventure, culture and unforgettable moments.

Just look at that private pool! 😍

My lovely clients checked in on Thursday and were absolutely over the moon with their room. I mean… who wouldn’t want to step outside to THIS every morning?! ☀️🌴

But this trip is extra special… ❤️

It was all planned as a surprise getaway for his wife’s 40th birthday!*🎂🥂 And he’s been keeping it a secret for a WHOLE YEAR! 🤐👏👏

I honestly don’t know how he managed it — hats off to you! 😂

Now the secret is finally out, it’s time for them to relax, celebrate and enjoy every minute of beautiful Crete. 🇬🇷🍹
