Oil markets remain on edge as Middle east tensions persist.

Brent crude staged a modest recovery this week, but the benchmark still suffered its sharpest weekly decline since April 2026 as traders weighed easing demand concerns against escalating geopolitical risks in the Middle East. Despite the late-week rebound, volatility remains elevated, with energy markets continuing to react sharply to every development surrounding the Strait of Hormuz.

Fuel cards users will welcome another price drop of between 2 – 2.8 pence per litre for next week.
