A Proud Hull Legacy

In the early 19th century, Kingston upon Hull helped spark a fundamental shift in global ethics. Led by Hull-born William Wilberforce, the abolitionist movement challenged long-held beliefs about human rights, proving that moral responsibility should always come before raw profit.

That deep-rooted Hull tradition of standing up for fairness remains a constant inspiration for us.

While our focus is on a much smaller, everyday scale, Hull-born PANGO was created with that same purpose-driven spirit.

There is nothing quite like the energy in Hull when our teams give everything on the pitch. The bookies and pundits had Hull City written off as relegation favourites before a ball was even kicked, but this brilliant start to the season shows what we're really about.

It isn't just about the points on the board—it lifts the whole city and proves what Hull grit and passion look like.

Freedom Festival is back to light up Hull! 🎭

From 3rd–6th September 2026, Hull’s streets, historic docks, and public squares transform into a massive outdoor stage as the Freedom Festival returns!

With over 130 spectacular street theatre performances, high-wire acrobatics, live music, and evening art installations celebrating this year's theme of Peace, areas around Queen Victoria Square, Trinity Square, and the Fruit Market will be buzzing all weekend long.

Know friends or family outside the city who need an excuse to visit? Tell them to come and see Hull at its absolute best!
