Aged 11 to 19? You'll need a free Young Person's Discount bus pass, which you can apply for now!

ℹ️ Includes bus services in Rutland operated by Blands and Centrebus. For Centrebus, it applies to our LC1 and LC7 services.

PB1 Potters Bar Town Service

Following retendering by Hertfordshire County Council, we are pleased to announce, we will be operating the PB1 service from Sunday 30th August 2026.

Road Closed: Stoughton Road, Oadby
Date: Monday 24th August to Friday 18th September 2026
Service affected: 40S

Stoughton Road will be closed between A6 Harborough Road and New Street. For the duration of the closure, the 40S will operate as follow:

To Hamilton - it will operate normal route through The Parade to the A6, but instead of crossing over onto Stoughton Road, it will divert right onto A6 Harborough Road and then turn left onto New Street, back on its normal route.

To Beaumont Centre - is not affected and will operate normal route.

Bus stops not served: Beaumont Street stop on Stoughton Road.

Saturday 29th August

The event takes place from 11:00am to 4:00pm and Oadby Parade will be closed from 08:00am and 6:00pm. For the duration of the closure, the 40S service will operate as follow:

To Beaumont Centre - it will operate as normal to Leicester Road, Oadby, but instead of turning left onto The Parade it will continue on Leicester Road to the traffic lights, where it will turn left onto Brabazon Road, continue on Brabazon Road to Wigston Road, where it will turn right onto Wigston Road, back on its normal line of route.

To Hamilton - it will operate the reverse of the above.

Bus Stops missed: East Street, Chapel Street, St Peter's Church, Lawyers Lane, Brabazon Road.

Disruption:

The 154 from Loughborough at 13:24 has broken down on Brand Hill, near the Wheatsheaf Inn, in Woodhouse Eaves. This bus is currently awaiting an Engineer.

Due to the position of the bus, the 154 from Leicester at 13:25 will be missing out Woodhouse Eaves.

We do apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Disruptions: 19th August

The LC1 is currently broken down on the 10:07 trip from Oakham to Melton Mowbray. The service will resume at 11:22 from Melton.

LC8 service cannot service Prestwold or Burton on the Wold due to emergency roadworks.

LC5 is currently broken down - we will keep you updated as to when this service resumes.

Due to an RTC on Colchester Road, the road is closed and the 40N, 40S, and Hospital Hopper will operate as follow.

Hospital Hopper & 40N services:
From Hamilton, it will operate as normal to the Colchester Road/Scraptoft Lane crossroads, then it will divert right onto Scraptoft Lane, at the Scraptoft Lane/Uppingham Road junction it will turn left onto Uppingham Road, continue on Uppingham Road to the Colchester Road crossroads, where it turn right onto Colchester Road, back on normal route to General Hospital.
To Hamilton, it will be normal route.

40S Service:
From General Hospital to Hamilton, it will operate on Colchester Road as normal but will be unable to turn right onto Elmcroft Avenue to serve Thurnby Lodge and Netherhall, it will continue on Colchester Road, onto Hungarton Boulevard and then Tesco Hamilton.
From Hamilton to General Hospital, it will operate the reverse of the above.

For the duration of the closure, the 40S is going to be missing all stops from the Cranesbill Road stop on Keyham Lane to the Havencrest Drive stop on Colchester Road.
