An incredible result for Ford & Slater at the DAF Apprentice Graduation!

We’re incredibly proud of our apprentices following an outstanding performance in this year’s Apprentice of the Year awards, securing four podium finishes across all three year groups! 👏

🥇 Callum Warwick, Chesterfield - 1st place in Year 1
🥉 Ben Cole, Newark - 3rd place in Year 2
🥈 Liam Jung, Birtley - 2nd place in Year 3
🥉 Millie French, Leicester - 3rd place in Year 3

These fantastic achievements reflect the hard work, dedication and talent of our apprentices, as well as the commitment of the teams supporting them throughout their training.

Congratulations to all our Ford & Slater apprentices who took part in the awards and celebrated their achievements at graduation. You should all be incredibly proud of how far you’ve come!

Congratulations to Jessica Summers, Parts Apprentice at Leicester, who achieved an outstanding 100% score in DAF's Q3 Mystery Shop! 🎉

This is a fantastic accomplishment and marks the first time a parts apprentice at Leicester has achieved a perfect score.

A huge congratulations to Jessica on this outstanding achievement and for setting such a high standard!

We recently took some of our customers out for a clay pigeon shooting day, with a great day had by everyone.

It was a good chance to get away from the usual day-to-day, catch up with customers and, of course, see who could hit the most clays! 👀

A great day so far at Ford & Slater Leeds!

Today marks the opening of our newly revamped dealership, following months of hard work behind the scenes.

It’s been great to welcome customers, suppliers and partners to the site and show off the improvements we’ve made.

A big thank you to everyone who has played a part in getting the dealership ready and to everyone who has joined us today!

Joe’s 98 and has always wanted to drive a truck… so we thought we’d bring one to him! 🚛

Joe lives at Barton Manor Care Home, where staff ask residents what they’d love to see or do. Joe’s wish was to see a truck, so Lee got to work making it happen!

Joe had absolutely no idea what was happening when Lee drove the truck into the car park. He got to have a look around, see the engine and take it all in with his family.

A big thank you to Lee Walton and his wife, Marissa, who works at Barton Manor, for making this happen, and to the Ford & Slater team for helping out!

We’re so glad we could help make Joe’s day. ❤️

The final day of the GREENFLEET EV Rally!

It’s been a great week for Jordan and the team, travelling across the country in our DAF XD Builders Merchant Demo and putting electric trucks through their paces in real-world conditions.

Along the way, the rally has showcased the growing public charging infrastructure available for electric HGVs and what’s possible with the latest electric trucks.

A huge thank you to everyone who has hosted us along the way and helped make the rally such a great experience.

Today, it’s another 150+ mile journey from Corby to Twickenham Stadium for Everything EV.

Jordan Conway, our EV Sales Executive, is down in Exeter ready for the GREENFLEET Mythbusters EV Rally! ⚡️🚛

The rally starts today, with Jordan and our DAF XD Builders Merchant Demo set to cover more than 850 miles across the country over the next week.

We’ll be following the journey and sharing some of the highlights along the way! 👀

Bretts Transport has added nine new DAF XG 480 6x2 tractor units to its fleet as part of its ongoing vehicle replacement programme.

The new trucks bring improved driver comfort, safety technology and fuel efficiency, helping Bretts reduce running costs while maintaining excellent service for its customers.

Bretts has taken delivery of the first six vehicles, with the remaining three scheduled to arrive towards the end of September.
