*** 2 x HGV Class 1 position available***
We are currently looking for 2 experienced Drivers ....
One driver left for personal family reasons
Second driver leaving for pastures new .
We don't have a high turn over of driver's normally, try to look after people .
Based out of our yard in Ellistown ,Leicester
Applicants ideally no more than 45 mins away from the yard
- Modern fleet of units with a mixed fleet of curtainside trailers,flat trl, brick crane positive steer urbans and a couple of 26T rigids, drivers normally one unit one driver ideally candidates willing to jump on to the rigids every now and then ( holiday cover)
Would be good .
Job is predominantly a good clean job, palletised deliveries to plumber and builder merchants, mixed with the odd site delivery.
Applicants to show a good ammount of initiative.
Depending on experience may involve a little bit of loading out of our main customer's but as a rule trailers will normally be loaded by one of my operatives or by my self .
As a rule we have a couple running out to Scotland every Sunday,
so would involve some Sundays, not done on a rota but done on first come first served , ( name on board )
Normally as a rule no Saturdays ( maybe peak times Xmas etc )
Nights out vary, mostly down to the individual .
Some that work for me out all week, others may do 2 or 3 others home every night ( depends on the runs to be fair )
Full uniform will be issued after a suitable period of time ....
Boots, jackets,shirts,trousers Hi viz etc etc....
- Competitive rate of pay( to be discussed at time of interview), night out allowance,and bonus paid etc .
