The pond is actually that blue!! It’s so beautiful. Unfortunately has become a bit of a tourist hot spot! So busy!!! Found the waterfall on google maps and drove up for a quick look. So happy we did. Same water that feeds the pond so the same beautiful colour. The clouds also cleared so we were able to see the volcano in the background as well

Upopoy - National Ainu museum and park
Spent the morning learning about the culture of the Ainu people, indigenous people of northern Japan. Very informative! We particularly enjoyed the dances, songs and music.

Started our most recent Japan trip with a couple of nights in Noboribetsu, Hokkaido. An onsen town on the edge of Jidokudani (hell valley) which is an active volcanic crater supplying 10,000 tons of sulphur rich water daily. This area is home of demon gods, which we got to witness as we were also able to attend onihanabi (demon fireworks).
Onsens, natural hot springs, footbaths in the river, rich in legends. Loved every moment!

Realised that we were in Cambodia this time exactly 3 years ago. Would definitely come back for a 3rd visit!

More temples in Siem Reap, Cambodia 🇰🇭 A few of the lesser visited ones but still close to Angkor wat and worth the time...
