We were asked to sculpt her in honor of a loved companion who made the journey on to the afterlife. To be trusted with a project so tender is something we hold with great care, and it’s deeply meaningful to see the objects we make carry love, memory, and purpose into the world beyond our studio. After her arrival to her new home it was shared with us that we did wonderfully in capturing her spirit ♥

“To me, chameleons represent childhood joy and the beauty of change and adaptation and are a reminder that no matter how many times we shed our skin or change our hues, the bones that lie beneath will always be sound and steady.” —Lila, on her custom Maçon chameleon ring ♥ Read her full story here:

“When I was 8 years old I saw Tangled for the first time. Instantly, like many others, I became enamored with the character of Pascal, a small green chameleon. I continued to love chameleons all the way up until I got my first job as a 15 year old. What I did with my first paycheck was go to the local pet store and buy a beautiful year old female veiled chameleon. It was not only the first living breathing thing that had ever been fully my responsibility, bought fully with money I had earned, but it was a dream that fulfilled my eight year old self. Naturally I knew her name was meant to be Pascal. Pascal sadly passed away four years later at the age of 5. Since then I collect any chameleon treasure I find and place it on my totem shelf with her ashes and urn. To me, chameleons represent childhood joy and the beauty of change and adaptation and are a reminder that no matter how many times we shed our skin or change our hues, the bones that lie beneath will always be sound and steady.”

“You created it with something in your head, a story, and that means something more than just its material form.” — Laurel, NY, has three Maçon pieces.

Every piece begins long before it’s made.

When we’re thinking about what we’re excited to make next, we’re not only considering the object itself—we’re imagining the world it belongs to. Every new piece expands the Maçon universe, adding another element to an evolving story.

That sense of connection is something we always hope people will feel, as Laurel did. That each object holds its own character, but also feels like part of something larger than itself.

Thank you to everyone who has seen that and supported us. It means the world ♥
