Running Cards UK was set up by, Rachel Job, a passionate runner, who was frequently frustrated that you couldn't buy greetings cards to celebrate running achievements or wish her fellow runners good luck before a race. The range has now expanded to include cycling cards and running-themed gifts. Suitable for new and experienced runners, we have cards and gifts ideal for birthdays, race celebration

📬Second class is the new first class 💌

At Running Cards UK we have always prided ourselves on getting orders out super quick and that has meant free First Class post for cards in the UK. But times have changed…

The price of a first class stamp is now £1.80, 91 pence more than second class. When we started the business seven years ago a first class stamp cost just 70p. We have raised our prices gradually, mostly to cover increased printing and envelope costs but the price of stamps has just gone ⤴️

After anecdotal evidence from some regular customers it’s clear that speedy first class post delivery is not requirement. In fact, it’s not expected. Since the pandemic, people have become used to ordering well in advance online.

Therefore, from 6 April 2026 all our UK online card orders will be sent by Second Class post by default. For any last minute orders, there will be an option to upgrade to First Class at the checkout.

Shipping fees remain the same for all gifts and all orders outside the UK.

Walking on sunshine this morning at 😎 After all that rain, wasn’t it nice to see to have clear skies, even if it was a bit cold.

First time at this new parkrun. The usual for me and well done everyone on that muddy course! Congrats to Nigel P for this 200th parkrun and 100th location 🎉

Thanks to friendly local team of volunteers who do their best to keep this event on! 🙏

Lots of cancellations this morning so grateful to RD Jeremy and the volunteers at for making sure the course was safe to go ahead. It was chilly but the welcome was very warm. Unfortunately I managed to ignore a very obvious sign and do a bit extra! Thankfully it’s a nice park and a nice morning so happy to do 5.9k…😁

📣 US TARIFFS UPDATE 🇺🇸
We are delighted to announce that following a pause after to the introduction of new US import tariffs, we are once again able to ship all our cards and gifts to customers based in the US.

Import tariffs for countries are not a new thing, but until recently they have been much lower to the US and, crucially, there has been 'de minimis' exemption of goods valued under $800.

With this de minimis exemption lifted, it directly hits small businesses like ours and with tiny margins, we have no other choice but to pass on the bulk of the tariff to our customers. This means that we are increasing shipping fees to US based customers by up to 10%. We value our US customers and really hope that you understand why we have made this sad and difficult decision. 😔

Windy day for a seafront parkrun. It’s a Parkwalk for me so I’m layered up to keep warm. It’s four months since I’ve even run for a bus, let alone 5k. It’s great I can walk parkrun and still feel part of it all but it’s getting very frustrating watching everyone run. I miss running! Especially when it’s so cold 🥶😩

A huge thank you to the volunteers this morning at Ican’t imagine how cold they must have been. 👏
