📢 EU COURT CONFIRMS €880 MILLION FINE FOR SCANIA'S TRUCK CARTEL ROLE

The European Union's Court of Justice has upheld a hefty €880 million fine against Scania for its involvement in the truck cartel. Despite Scania's challenges, claiming bias and disputing the geographical scope of its actions, the European Commission found the Swedish company in violation of antitrust laws from January 1997 to January 2011, aiming to limit competition in the European truck market.

Importantly, the ruling extends the period for addressing cartel cases for an additional 5 years, reinforcing the EU's commitment to fair competition!!

🚚 TruckRefunds: Connecting with the Transport Industry!

Reflecting on an incredible year, in 2023 TruckRefunds navigated through an array of transport exhibitions, and the experience was nothing short of amazing! We were genuinely surprised by the number of professionals we met who hadn't yet discovered the opportunity to claim their hard-earned money back from truck manufacturers. 💰 Even more heartening was meeting enthusiastic individuals without trucks themselves, yet recognizing the incredible opportunity at hand. They're keen to support their truck owner business partners and friends in reclaiming what's rightfully theirs. 🤝

Our journey began at the Microlise Transport Conference in the UK, where we not only showcased our offerings but also had the honour of our CEO, Gábor Balatoni, delivering a compelling presentation on stage.

Supporting the unbreakable industry - you could call it the Tonka toy of industries. It's been an enlightening experience, engaging in conversations with representatives who offered valuable insights into the Truck Cartel case. We're here not just as service providers but as allies, committed to empowering the transport industry. This event gave us a monumental boost, propelling us into a busy September.
We showcased our resilience at Translogistica Romania, followed by a noteworthy presence at NUFAM in Karlsruhe, Germany.

Here, not only did we have a booth, but we proudly displayed a truck funded by a refund obtained through our buyout offer.

Nine days later, our boots touched down in Greece at the "Supply Chain & Logistics" exhibition and "Cargo Truck & Van Expo." Simultaneously, our colleagues explored Transport and Logistics in Norway.

October saw our team attending the International Trade Fair for Transport and Logistics in Brno, Czech Republic.

Wrapping up 2023 with a flourish, Translogistica Warszawa in Poland proved to be our busiest expo yet. The sheer volume of interested companies visiting our booth led to each team member engaging in meaningful conversations.

As we bid farewell to 2023, we're deeply grateful for the incredible connections made and the support received.
