📦 DID YOU KNOW HOW A BALIKBAYAN BOX WAS MADE?
Before today’s high-speed machines and automated production, balikbayan boxes were made with much more hands-on work.
Back in the early 70s, making a sturdy box meant working with basic materials like kraft paper, cardboard, glue, and simple tools. The boards were prepared, cut, folded, assembled, and reinforced largely by hand. It took more time, patience, and skill to produce each box. ❤️
Today, modern machinery has made the process much faster and more precise. Automated equipment helps create the corrugated cardboard, cut the panels, fold and assemble the boxes, and print the designs we see today.
⏱️ Then: More manual work and time
⚙️ Today: Faster production and modern machinery
But while the way balikbayan boxes are made has changed, their purpose has stayed the same.
They carry clothes, food, gifts, memories—and most importantly, a little piece of home. 🇵🇭❤️🇬🇧
Different times. Better technology. Same love inside every box.
