A huge thank you to John, our HF Walk Leader for sharing this beautiful photograph from his week leading The Cleveland Way Guided Trail this May.

Not only does the scenery look incredible, but it seems the group was treated to some fantastic weather too! Even more impressively, all ten guests successfully completed the full 109-mile stretch, which weaves through the ever-changing landscape of North Yorkshire.

💚 Join us this Volunteers' Week in honouring our amazing HF Leaders, Field Advisors and Board Directors, past and present. “You are what has made our co-operative so special for over 112 years."

Behind every HF Holiday is a community of passionate volunteers who go above and beyond for our guests and for many, the experience is life-changing too.

As Andrea, a HF Leader and Board Director, says “Leading gave me a new lease of life… I had something to look forward to and a real sense of purpose. HF has broadened my horizons with new friends and constant learning. It's even led me to joining the Board - shaping a future where more people can share this experience."

Thank you to all our volunteers for your energy and dedication, we couldn’t do it without you! Let's all eat cake!

Safe journey home to all of our HF Members who attended this weekend’s members break at HF Country House at Thorns Hall in Sedbergh.

We explored the Western Yorkshire Dales together, and we’re lucky enough to get a sneak peek of some new special interest and walking sightseeing holidays, including a trip to .mill and Cautley Spout.

This National Walking Month we are celebrating the incredible walking groups that make holidays with HF so special – including the wonderful Rushcliffe Ramblers, The Ramblers.

Thanks to the group's travel organiser Angela, they have explored the UK and beyond together for over 30 years - from climbing Snowdon in glorious sunshine to discovering new favourite places in the Lake District, Austria, and beyond.

For Angela, it's about more than just the walks. It’s the friendships, the shared experiences, and the sense of community – whether celebrating birthdays together or simply enjoying time outdoors together. As she explains; “You join for the walks but stay for the friendships.”

Here’s to Rushcliffe Ramblers and all the walking groups who inspire us to get out, explore, and enjoy the journey together.

Every child deserves to play outside - whatever the weather!

We’re proud to share that HF Holidays has funded 100 Waterproof & Wellies kits for 10 primary schools across England - helping children learn, explore, and play outdoors.

For many families, the cost of waterproofs and wellies are simply out of reach, meaning some children can miss out on outdoor lessons and playtime on wet days through no fault of their own. Our partnership with The Outdoor Guide Foundation aims to help remove that barrier - so every child can step outside with confidence.

Our first delivery has already landed at Freshwater & Yarmouth CE Primary School on the Isle of Wight, with more to follow in communities close to our country houses.

This initiative is funded through our Pathways Fund - powered by the generosity of our valued members and guests. Thank you 💚
