This is how you can join them..

Every November, over 200 boats and 1,200 people from all over the world gather in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, for the start of the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers.

It’s an iconic race where strangers become crewmates, a boat becomes home for the next few weeks and together, you’ll sail west to Saint Lucia.

For 2026, there’s a place on board in the racing division and this one is the perfect entry point into offshore racing. You’ll get the buzz of the start line, the discipline of race sailing, and the full ARC experience, on a more manageable platform.

Some sailing experience helps but this one is less about hardcore performance and more about getting stuck in and being part of something you’ll talk about for the rest of your life.

The camaraderie, the night watches, the moment you arrive in the Caribbean having crossed an ocean - we think this is what the ARC is all about.

Where roads stretch through vast wilderness and wildlife still outnumbers people in many places. Alaska offers an experience unlike anywhere else in North America.

One day might be spent hiking through wild landscapes, the next paddling a canoe on a quiet lake or scanning the shoreline for bears and moose.

The distances are big, the scenery is bigger, and the sense of adventure is hard to match.

Our advice?

Travel there late August, when landscapes begin to shift towards autumn, with golden forests and crimson tundra adding a new dimension to an already spectacular setting. Wildlife remains active and the first opportunities to spot the Northern Lights begin to return as the nights grow longer.

💙 World Ocean Day! Today we’re celebrating all the crucial research that’s happening around the world to understand, document and protect the oceans.

And what an exciting week for it - This week Free Range Ocean, an adventure sailing and citizen science initiative supported by Another World Adventures, is setting sail on a journey to support research into endangered oceanic manta rays in collaboration with Manta Watch Aotearoa New Zealand.

They depart from Aotearoa New Zealand and will sail 1,100 nautical miles to Tonga on the first leg of the Bluewater Pathways 2026 expedition series.

Turning a sailing passage into a platform for research, storytelling and citizen science, the team hopes to demonstrate how people moving through the ocean can contribute useful knowledge to science and conservation.

We're all about the kind of travel where the journey itself is as important as the destination... and this overland adventure is exactly that.

Twenty days travelling through Alaska in a converted school bus, peering out of big windows as one of the world's most extraordinary landscapes unfolds around you.

Think glaciers, volcanoes and rivers running silver with salmon. The kind of scenery that makes you put your phone down.
