It’s been a great start to the week at Lewis Training School

We had two guys on a retest today. Last time out, nerves got the better of them. So this time we worked on correcting the small mistakes they made in their previous test and had a good chat to build their confidence.

And boom… two passes! ✅✅

Both of these guys are looking to move on from their current jobs, and now they’ve got the opportunity to do exactly that.

This is why I love my job. Helping people achieve their goals. When my students pass, I’m over the moon. And when they fail… I go home and sulk.

But today is definitely a happy day. 😁👏

Thinking about gaining your HGV licence? Here’s what you need to do:
1. Have a medical and apply for your provisional licence.
2. Book and pass your theory and hazard perception tests.
3. Complete the driving course.
4. Take the CPC case studies (computer-based) test.
5. Final step is the Module 4 test – a practical show me, tell me assessment.

Some people have different opinions about the computer-based tests. You can do all three computer tests at once, but personally I find that a bit too much.

So, if you’re thinking about a career change and want to get into HGV driving, it’s best to get started sooner rather than later.

I’m currently booked up until the beginning of March, so if you want to get everything sorted, you’ll need to get the wheels turning now 🚛

STORY TIME.
I had Samuel who is in the picture ringing me about a month ago asking for some help in passing his class one driving test.
He had previously been with, let’s say a bigger HGV training company and he wasn’t treated very well.
He was on a six day, class one course and paid a lot of money. He was given different instructors everyday and in a different size truck too.
So, he was being taught different methods. He failed his reverse the first time and was given another chance in the complete dark.
He was told that he needed extra hours and had to pay another large amount of money.

This is where he contacted me. I didn’t know how good or bad he was so I invited him down for an assessment.
We discussed what needed doing (which was very little )and got everything booked in.
He passed his reverse test first and went on to passing his driving test with flying colours too.

The reason behind Samuel passing his test and not paying crazy amounts of money is quite simple.
Lewis Training School cares about every single one of their students and will put every effort into them passing their test first time.
We don’t think of our students as money pots. We think of them who wants to pass their HGV driving test and better their life’s.
The bottom line is that we actually care about our students.

It’s been a crazy couple of weeks at Lewis Training School. We have had many courses and many successful first time passers.

In the middle of the mix we had our first car passer too.

The standard we set is very high. We give our best effort so our customers get the greatest chance to pass first time and learn skills not only for them to pass their test, but to learn new skills when they be challenged with things in the big bad world.
On top of that too, our customers don’t pay crazy prices for the courses. We offer affordable prices and with that you get quality training.

What a great start to the week at Lewis Training School. We had a test this morning up at Switch Island where we had Robert passing with just two minor faults.
It was a retest and was very unlucky to fail first time. However, we corrected the wrongs and got the reward.

Let’s keep the high standard going and roll onto the next course.
