The Haven Hopper - Launching Spring 2027

Wednesday progress update 🚌🌿
Not every week brings a big announcement, but there’s still plenty happening behind the scenes at Haven Hopper!

This week I’ve been working on the timetable, looking at how we can make the service as useful and convenient as possible for both visitors and locals. There are quite a few moving parts to juggle, but it’s starting to take shape! 🚌💨

I’m also still (😬) waiting for my driving licence to make its way back from DVLA, and next week I’ve got my meeting with Business Wales, so there are a few more pieces of the puzzle hopefully falling into place soon.
Slowly but surely, the Hopper is getting closer! 🌊 🚌

Below is a revised timetable. As always, your thoughts, advice and musings are more than welcome!

Please bear in mind that I'm trying to keep the journey to around an hour, so it won't be detouring from the main route on this particular timetable.

There are lots of plans in the works for alternative days/evenings out. Along with specific events where driving and parking is difficult. Plus airport transfers, wedding parties, stag and hen parties, Christmas market trips etc.

I do wish the bus was ready to go for an Eclipse Express this evening to Strumble Head! 🌒

🚌 Happy Wednesday Peeps!

Another productive week for The Haven Hopper...

This week has been spent refining the proposed timetable to make sure it works well for both local residents and visitors, allowing plenty of time to enjoy a full day (or evening) out. 🗺️ 🥂 🍻

I've also had some really positive meetings with people who are passionate about improving transport across Pembrokeshire, including our local Member of Parliament. 🏢 The encouragement and constructive feedback I've received has been invaluable and reinforces that there is genuine interest in making this project a reality. 😍

I'm still waiting for the DVLA to return my licence 😬 so I can officially begin my PSV licence application. 🚍🤞

Behind the scenes, I've also been making new contacts regarding funding opportunities for the vehicle itself. Every conversation is opening another door. 🤝

There's still plenty of work to do, but each week The Haven Hopper moves another step closer to becoming a reality.

🛠️BEHIND THE SCENES: The wheels are turning! 🚌🛞💨

Happy Wednesday everyone! We might be planning for a Spring 2027 rollout, but behind the scenes, the groundwork for The Haven Hopper is moving at absolute lightning speed! ⚡✨(But obviously in accordance with the speed limit 😜🤣)

We wanted to give you a quick "behind-the-scenes" update on what we've been working on this week to get this service ready to roll!:
* 📢Compliance First: Our very first legal step is officially in motion! We are currently waiting on the DVLA so we can trigger our formal commercial bus licence applications...
* 💰Training Funding Breakthroughs: We had an incredibly positive meeting this week regarding training support! And we are working closely with local frameworks to get our advanced driver qualifications fully locked in!
*🏛️ Civic Backing: The team at Pembrokeshire County Council has been fantastic. We are actively coordinating with local representatives and transport officers to make sure our estate stops and timetables are perfectly optimised. 🚏
*🏴Welsh Government Support: Today is a massive milestone - we are officially logging into our launch meetings with Business Wales to map out our formal enterprise blueprints and funding structures!

Starting a brand-new transit business completely from scratch takes a lot of paperwork, but knowing that the community, the local council, and Business Wales mentors are all backing us makes it so exciting!
