An in-depth view of the custom crate we created for this sculpture from Masterpiece London 2019. You can see how the inside of the crate has additional support beams running through it to ensure the structure is sound. The support beam themselves are also have additional wood pieces to at either end to provide a secure fastening to the crate.

To provide a soft support and protection for the upper curve while transporting this sculpture from Masterpiece London 2019 a Styrofoam baton is used on top of the wood. However, for the bottom part of the wave, the piece isn’t close to the wood so no additional protection is needed on top of the wood baton here.
