All done. With just a few snagging items to make good, the Woodstone Wharf fit out is complete. We're absolutely delighted with the end result and thank all the kind donors who have made this possible, the architects (Hudson of Norwich) and the two contracting companies (Fordson & Princebuild) who transformed plans into reality

We are moving now to make the building as useful as it is attractive. We need to get the woodwork (internal and external) painted and getting the planned air-source heat pump and multi-fuel burner installed and activated. After that will come the furniture and detailed decoration that will enhance the already impressive ambience. Outside, the surrounding area will be landscaped and planted to created an environmentally friendly framework in which the building can sit.

This all needs money and we're very actively looking for donors who can help with any part of the above list. Please get in touch if you'd like to support this iconic project. Or you can visit our website (www.woodstonewharf.org.uk), where you'll find easy ways to make contributions.

We're hoping that this week will see completion of the internal fitout. Princebuild have excelled in the quality and finish that they're delivering and the inside now looks just as good as the outside stonework built by Fordson Developments. We've been very lucky in our choice of contractors for both phases of the work.

That leaves external landscaping and the installation of furniture and appliances before the building can be opened. We're actively looking for funds to support those bits and discussions are well advanced with Railworld and NVR to set the parameters for their use of the building.

On the inside, things are really progressing. Walls are painted, electricity is installed and lights are working. Carpentry work on shop fittings and windows surrounds is still in progress, and the toilet area still awaits plumbing and final-fit electrics.

Moving ever closer to being ready. On the outside, information boards, acknowledging the fiinancial contribution from our funders, have been fixed to the building and the Heras fencing has been taken down on the west side of the building. This allows peole to get the full effect of the recreated Victorian station.

More pictures of the internal progress. Second fit electrics and wall finishes are under way. In the toilet area, the partition walls are in place and plumbing is sprouting up.

Another couple of weeks slip by and the building is looking really good. The floor is largely down - just some edging and the fireplace to be sorted. Internal timber framing is taking shape and the window surrounds need a bit more work. Painting has started in a couple of rooms. Oh my!

With walls and ceiling getting all the attention it was clear that the floor was being left out. Not any more! Tiles are going down everywhere and, although the spacers spoil the effect a little, the impact is enormous.

Please don't forget to keep the fundraiser rolling along. Every small donation takes us a step towards completion.
