Its 1947 and the second world war is over. On the outskirts of Birmingham and the Black Country is a small town called Oldbury which welcomes a branch line of the Great Western Railway locally known as Lapping Road. Lapping road is an exhibition layout project which started out in 2018 and is hoped to be finally completed by 2024. The project is an end to end layout 9 feet x 14 inches with a one ended fiddle yard of 3 feet. There are four operating lines all of which are 00 gauge and a single 009 line towards the rear of the layout. The control system is analogue with added sound and light features.
