📢 VBS Member Announcement – SAFC Ground Improvement Donation 🏟️

The Valley Bar Seadogs Committee is pleased to inform our members that, following a formal meeting held in accordance with our constitution, we have unanimously approved a donation of £13,000.00 to Scarborough Athletic Football Club.

This contribution will support the club with essential ground improvements at Bridlington, which are vital to achieving Step 2 accreditation. These works include (but are not limited to): turnstile installations, fencing upgrades, improved toilet facilities, paving, segregation barriers, and new food outlets.

🔒 It’s important to note that this money was originally ringfenced by VBS to help fund a scoreboard at the Scarborough Sports Village. However, due to immediate cash flow pressures at the club, the committee has agreed to temporarily redirect the funds. Should the club receive grant funding from other sources in due course, the VBS contribution will be re-diverted by the club to its originally intended use.

💷 The donation will be made in two instalments:
• £11,800.00 – Immediate transfer of funds
• £1,200.00 – To be paid on 31 August 2025, following the release of the National League North fixture list, to allow us to plan responsibly for the season ahead.

✅ For those who were in attendance, the donation was formally announced by SAFC at this evening’s Open Meeting.
