Anthony's Kenya Fundraiser

We've done it! A massive thank you to everyone who supported us over the past 18 months. Everyone who bought raffle tickets, sponsored Anthony's sporting adventures, bought our homemade goods, joined in games and sometimes just donated because they wanted Anthony to go.

Every single pound was a massive help to us to reach Anthony's goal.

A special shout out to Shawbury Grants who approached us to apply for support. We didn't even know we could. This is such an important resource available in the village.

He'll be on his way to Kenya on the 9th July for a whole month making memories on an adventure of a lifetime!

Anthony and his grandad have been busy making things for Anthony's Kenya Fundraiser . We have for sale birdhouses at £5 each, garden people ornaments at £3 each and insect hotels at £8 each. The bottle of wine is for scale and not for sale. 😉

Today Anthony and his support team (mum and dad) climbed Cader Idris as his second Welsh mountain club mb for his fundraising efforts. It was quite a climb and absolutely gorgeous up at the top. The descend was a little painful. All knees and ankles took a little battering on all the rocks. 😀🏔️

Anthony is venturing out of county to get ready for his Kenya trip. He is doing a 3 Welsh peak challenge and started this weekend with a very windy Moel Famau. Next weekend it will be Cader Idris. He is finishing with Snowdon on the 11th of April.

Today is the day for revealing the winning team for our football scratch card competition. The winning team is Swindon! The winner does not wish to be named in social Media. Congratulations and enjoy your prizes!

This weekend we did 2 Christmas fairs in Shawbury and at River Meadows Nursing Home . Anthony did very well with a lot of items selling. We still a few left so from tomorrow we will sell on Facebook up until Christmas. Particularly our football scratch card competition which still has quite a few teams left to pick!
