One of the many reasons we love living here… ✨🌌

We couldn’t agree more with Visit North Norfolk. North Norfolk really is one of the best places in the UK to witness the magical Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights).

During the five years we’ve been at The Old Station, we’ve been incredibly fortunate to see this spectacular natural phenomenon on many occasions. With Norfolk’s vast open skies and very little light pollution, it can be an unforgettable sight when conditions are just right.

If you’re lucky enough to be staying with us when the aurora makes an appearance, it’s an experience you’ll never forget.

We were delighted to be interviewed by BBC Radio Norfolk’s Ben Punter to talk about The Old Station, Snettisham and our passion for preserving this unique piece of Norfolk’s railway heritage. (To hear interview- use link below).

✨ We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary yesterday ❤️. To mark the occasion, we enjoyed an unforgettable evening at The Chandlery, Wells-next-the-Sea.

From the exceptional food and spectacular wines to the warm welcome, attentive service and wonderful atmosphere, every detail made our celebration feel truly special.

It’s always a pleasure discovering local gems that we know our guests will love, and this is definitely one we’ll be adding to our ‘Things to Do’ page on The Old Station Snettisham website.

Our annual pilgrimage to the Weeting Steam Engine Rally & Country Show didn’t disappoint!

The sights, sounds and even the smell of the steam engines make it such a special event. There was plenty to see, lots of familiar faces, and as always we came away inspired.
