D Fordesolutions has been working with Sonardyne on there vessels and this is just some of the work we have completed for them this last nine months.

The hull was dull and had years of polish engrained in to the gel surface, the hull had never been sanded back to its original finish, and was extremely dull throughout.

We had to sand this hull back with 40 grit sanding disks as the years of polishing had left white polish so deep within the gel surface.
The hull was extremely weathered and we could not take the hull back with a standard 180 sanding disk, as the dullness’ of gel was so deep.
The whole hull was sanded back with 40’s then down through the grades to a 1500 finish.
The hull was buffed and waxed 6 times bringing the hull back to its original glory.

We painted a new water line in white, then rolled a new red anti foul from the water line down for a nice new slick finish .

This customer wanted new stern drives fitted, resulting in the old stern drive holes being to big for the new stern drives.
We completely filled holes with new crestomered and glassed wooden cutouts,re-glassed internal and external of the transom.
External of the transom was fully fibre glassed skimmed and long boarded completely flat for a flush stern drive fitment.
External was re-gelled and polished ready for new anti foul and stern drives.
Internal was sanded back and finished with topcoat.

Some patch repairs on this 60sqm roof today. The boards led to multiple bubbles in the original coating which were causing areas of Delamination. We sanded these back to OSB - clout nailed for extra grip in the surrounding GRP and applied Tek guard primer from before applying new 600g chopstrand in the defected areas. The roof was then sanded again, acetone washed and completely primered before adding a fresh new flexible topcoat. Aim was to provide some extra longevity in the current roof and an affordable price. Customer unfortunately hit rocks while coming in to Plymouth sound in thick fog, snapping there IPS drive clean off.
Two days of grinding out the damaged area,Internal crack fully reinstated with layers of mat, finished off with chop strand mat filler to re shape area surrounding the drive cut out and top coated ready for new IPS drive to be fitted.

This customer had concerns of how sharp the edges of the Avonite work tops had been left by the installers after a couple of injury’s to their children catching themselves on the edges.
On arrival I found edges to be extremely sharp and dangerous.
I sanded all the edges of the work tops and rounded them off creating a softer and safer finish.
