C&W have certainly been busy today, with three wagons now out shopped in their final colours.
The three wagons are of the same design (S16 Bogie Steel vans) as the Earl has a bit of a soft spot for them, and with a bargain of a brand new kit with steel wheels picked up from the National Show for a bargain of £25, there are now 5 on the line to keep up with the traffic demands.
Two of the three have been painted into a Darj blue as seen below, the other is now in its final wartime brown (as seen in an earlier post).
With the fourth finished in a deep maroon/ red oxide with all the transfers and weathering completed.
The final example is still unbuilt but the Earl is keen to get this one up and running soon, with this example being finished again in the wartime brown with hexagonal decals and weathering.
The Earl is keen to find time to catch up with PWay and iron out a few areas of maintenance required now that some of the line has been down for four years, and work will also be done to accommodate the mighty Darj C class at the same time, in order that the full Darj rake can be coupled behind to really put her through her paces.
