2013 Vauxhall Astra recovered into our workshop this week with a light knock from the top end of the engine. The only thing amiss on the diagnostic check was some strange long term fuel trim readings but nothing that pointed to the real problem…
A quick bit of investigation and checking the TSB’s suggested the likely cause and after removing the cam caver it was clear that the investigations were right!
Here at Logik Haul we don’t just follow the computer, we use proper, old fashioned diagnostic processes. This could have cost the customer hundreds of pounds chasing a fault that is fixed by thread locking and torquing the bolts (as per the fix in the TSB)
