Absolutely incredible achievement from Connie 👏🚀

Following on from the success of making the J16 Team GB camp earlier this month, Connie has now gone on to win the National Junior Indoor Rowing Championships in her age group for the second consecutive year🥇

A huge congratulations from all of us at Wight Coaches - we’re incredibly proud to support such a dedicated and talented young athlete representing the Isle of Wight on the national stage.

📺 Blink and you’ll miss it… 👀

This week’s episode of The Apprentice headed over to the Isle of Wight 🌊

Featuring some brilliant local spots including , , , and finishing up at the iconic Hovercraft - a great showcase for the Island 👏

Now… we’ve had lots of messages over the past few weeks saying
“Was that your coach in the opening credits?” 🤔

Well, last night confirmed it…

👀 Yes - and if you didn’t spot it, don’t worry… it was very much a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment!

In fact, the same coach made a second sneaky appearance earlier in the episode too 🚌😂

We’ll take our 0.5 seconds of fame…

Not quite centre stage (this time), but still nice to see our fleet popping up on national TV!

We were delighted to welcome Coach & Bus Week to Wight Coaches recently 🚍

As one of the only remaining coach operators on the Isle of Wight it was a great opportunity to showcase our fleet, our team, and the work happening behind the scenes every day.

Proud to see the business featured in this week’s issue - a big thank you to the CBW team for visiting.

This week, McGill’s Group’s electric bus fleet passes 20 million miles, we visit the Isle of Wight to see life at Wight Coaches, Arriva invests in more than 800 new buses, the Mayor of Manchester visits Wrightbus ahead of new electric deliveries and more. Issue 1721 is out now!

Great to be on the road today with this fantastic group of The Holiday Shop - Isle of Wight heading to Disneyland Paris 🏰🎢

They’re travelling in comfort on one of our new luxury Scania Touring coaches, complete with air conditioning, reclining seats and USB charging - making the journey just as enjoyable as the destination.

With our brilliant driver Paul at the wheel, it’s safe, smooth and stress-free travel all the way 🚍👏

We’re incredibly proud to support The Medina Marching Band 🎶🥁

It’s always a pleasure to work with such a dedicated and talented group, and we’re delighted to play a small part in helping them get to events safely, reliably and in comfort.

Supporting local youth organisations, music and community groups is something we genuinely care about, and Medina Marching Band are a real credit to the Isle of Wight.

What a way to spend New Year’s Day! 🇬🇧🎶

A phenomenal performance from Medina Marching Band IW at the London Parade - an incredible achievement and the only British marching band taking part.

Our new 70-seat coach made light work of transporting the group to their event, and it’s always a pleasure to be providing transport for such a brilliant local organisation 🚍👏

Huge congratulations to everyone involved!

✨🎄 That’s a wrap on our 2025 Isle of Wight Christmas Lights Tours!🎄✨

Last night marked the final tour of the season, run in partnership with The Price Is Wight. To celebrate our 5th year of operating Wight Coaches, we are proud to be donating profits to five incredible local charities and causes that mean a great deal to us.

The past couple of weekends have been nothing short of amazing. Firstly we were delighted to be joined by Daisy Chains IW Childrens Charity (with a special mention for Sprout the Elf!), alongside Heartbeat, hosted by Emerald Elite VA Services. We also welcomed Daisy Ring Bus CIC, who from January will be taking over the Portsmouth cancer patient transport service - a perfect opportunity to raise awareness for such a vital cause.

This weekend kicked off in style with Amazon World Zoo Park, who treated us to a full Lights Tour takeover complete with an animal-themed festive quiz and plenty of fun facts 🦁🎄

And finally, a huge thank you to Mindset Bros for hosting tours last night - special shout-out to MC Baz! It was a brilliant evening and a privilege to learn more about the important work they do in breaking the silence around men’s mental health.

A massive thank you as well to all the households and displays we visit each year, the time, creativity and effort that goes into them is incredible and truly appreciated by everyone onboard 🌟

Thank you to the hundreds of passengers who wrapped up warm and joined us for these fun-filled tours, complete with singing along to festive music and taking part in our quizzes and pass-the-parcel, all helping to raise money for these fantastic causes. This has been our biggest and best Christmas Lights Tour season yet, and we’re incredibly grateful for the support.

None of this would be possible without our brilliant drivers and hosts - Paul, Darren, Jamie, James and Jak - a very special thank you to Father Christmas for fitting us into his busy schedule 🎅🚍✨ And finally, a huge thank you to our behind-the-scenes cleaning team, working late into the night to make sure every coach was spotless and ready to go again the next day!

A fantastic day out in London for Creationz Dance Academy, travelling in comfort to the West End for an unforgettable experience at the Shaftesbury Theatre 🎭🩰 - including the incredible opportunity to perform on stage at the theatre itself.

Huge credit to our drivers Darren & Greg for looking after the group on what was a long but incredibly rewarding day.

With a modern fleet ranging from 16 to 70 seats, we’re able to support groups big and small, whether it’s local transport on the Isle of Wight or longer journeys to the mainland or into Europe.

✨ Another fantastic weekend of Christmas Lights Tours!✨

We’ve had a brilliant few evenings out touring the Island’s Christmas lights, raising money for a number of fantastic local causes 🎄🚍

Some of you may recognise Darren, one of our fantastic drivers, pictured here last night alongside Josh, one of our directors, while out on a tour raising money for the Daisy Ring Bus. Josh is also a director of this fantastic CIC, which was launched earlier this year to continue this much-needed service after funding was cut.

With further funding cuts coming soon, the Daisy Ring Bus will also be stepping in to take on the Portsmouth route in the New Year, helping ensure this vital service for cancer patients can continue.

We’ve seen some truly amazing displays across the Island and are already looking forward to more festive tours this coming weekend 🌟🎄

A heartfelt thank you to one of our Directors - Josh Harris (right) of Wight Coaches and his colleague, Darren, for a wonderful evening of viewing Christmas lights across the Island - proceeds of which he is donating to us. We are so lucky to have him on board (in every sense) - he is very community minded and does so much for others. Thank you, Josh ❤️
