Tyres are important. When using your car 🚗 make sure you are driving on legal tread depths.

1.6mm is the legal limit. If you aren’t sure if your tyres are legal then the next time you are speaking to a police officer have them check for you.

The National Tyre Distributors Association (NI) has released the results of 2017 tyre tread depth on replacement survey, which showed that in one week in March, members had removed 1,200 tyres from cars and light commercial vans that were already below the legal tread depth limit of 1.6mm.
