Last week, our amazing team took on the Nuclear Races in Brentwood to raise money for Sanctus Homeless Charity - and what a day it was!

A team of 10 from WBS threw themselves into the challenge and, judging by the photos, had an incredible time doing it. From start to finish, the course certainly lived up to its reputation… especially when it came to the mud!
Safe to say, everyone crossed the finish line completely covered from head to toe. There were a few aching arms and legs the next day, but it was all worth it for such a fantastic cause.

We’re really proud of the team for their energy, teamwork, and willingness to get stuck in - literally!

A big thank you to everyone who supported and donated. We've raised over £1700 so far! Your contributions are helping make a real difference through Sanctus Homeless Charity. 🤎

🌹 Happy St George’s Day

The story of St George and the dragon is a symbolic one, often linked with ideas like courage, resilience, and doing the right thing when it matters most.

David Burnham is thrilled to be heading out to the Bologna Children's Book Fair in a couple of weeks time!

It’s a great opportunity to reconnect with publishers, meet new customers, and spend time with people who are as passionate about children’s books as we are.

At WBS, we work behind the scenes to make sure those books get where they need to be, keeping things moving smoothly from publisher to young reader. Our focus is on reliability, flexibility, and making the process as seamless as possible, so that great stories can reach the hands of young readers without delay.

We’re thrilled to announce that our very first EcoVadis assessment has earned us a Bronze Medal!

For those who aren’t familiar, EcoVadis is a global platform that evaluates companies on environmental impact, ethics, labour & human rights, and responsible sourcing. It’s a widely recognised benchmark for sustainability, and we’re proud to be part of it.

Achieving Bronze means we’re already in the top 35% of companies worldwide - a fantastic milestone for our first assessment!

It’s a reflection of the hard work and commitment of our team to doing the right thing, and it gives us a solid foundation to build on as we continue our sustainability journey.
