Institutional engagements form one of the key things that drive real-world learning and cross-border collaboration. We had the privilege of hosting a delegation of about 35 MBA & PhD students from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management, USA, for experiential learning on International Trade through Africa’s lens. None of them had ever visited Ghana.

Our roundtable focused on the continent’s opportunities and struggles, alongside practical solutions. We highlighted the AfCFTA, which unites 1.4 billion people across a $3.4 trillion economic bloc, and the Cairo-to-Cape Town highway—a 10,000-km corridor now 80% complete.

Our Team Lead also shared the work we do at the ASSETS & the EXIM Academy, as well as how the National AfCFTA Coordination Office and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat are bridging the gap between policy and practice.

Africa is home to 8 of the world’s 15 fastest-growing economies, yet intra-African trade remains only 15% of total trade, compared to nearly 70% in Europe. Closing this gap is our daily mission.
