My top restaurants that I use constantly. Not in any particular order and no I haven't eaten in every restaurant in Corfu but as I have driven around the island daily for so many years, I have stuck with a few that really please me:
Baratos Taverna, Gardenos.
I love the fact that I can swim and then eat in my swim suit (with a covering) and enjoy real fresh and traditional food especially their fried calamari, grilled octopus, fried courgettes/aubergines, sea bass/bream all fresh.
Their local dishes and porkchops are also fabulous.
Bella Vista Lakones,
here is one of the best views, BBQ Chicken on the spit, pork on the spit, served on a large wooden plate with pitta breads, tzatziki , chips and dips.
To Steki, Doukades,
a traditional old greek village with exceptional greek food, homemade and cosy
Leonidas, Petriti,
great seafood, "sitting on the dock of the bay' feel, fresh fish, excellent service and great prices
Roussos Taverna, Kavos,
since 1910, serving excellent food on the beach, 4 generations and quite frankly exquisite.
The Golden Courser,
a Thai and Chinese restaurant in Kavos since 1985, Aris and Christina are wonderful hosts, the food is excellent, now before anyone moans that they didn't come to Greece for this food, living here for 35 years, I love a change and this place has phenomenal food.
Altro at the river in Lefkimmi,
fabulous food and super prices, great atmosphere and excellent service
O Foros in Old Perithiea
real feel authentic greek cuisine, just like my mother in law made, and in the wonderful old village that feels like Corfu 100 years ago.
Ninos in Corfu old town, choose your food from the window, the Greeks eat here. That says alot
