The airport manager of Nea Anchialos Athanasios Kasioras says that flights start from May 9 with the company Eurowings from Germany.
This year, according to him, the airport will have a new flight from Poland and Katowice Airport, which will start from early June and will last until the end of September.
Also, for a period in the heart of summer, for the period July-August, there will be a second flight from Düsseldorf, Germany, which will strengthen the airport with two flights for this period.
Based on this planning, the airport is expected to record an increase in its passenger traffic of approximately 10%. “We are certainly not talking about an increase like in 2025, when the year closed with a plus of 46%, but we expect an increase this year from our flight data and that is why there is optimism, although we always have room for much greater improvement,” notes the airport manager of Nea Anchialos, speaking to TACHYDROMOS.
The information currently available about the new connection with Poland causes optimism. Mr. Kasioras says that the company that has taken over it gives a positive picture of its future course according to the latest data it has.
