FOR SALE — Lagoon 440 Owner’s Version
The Closest Thing to a Brand-New 2026 Lagoon 440 from the Factory
Modernized • Lightweight • Stronger • Upgraded for Performance • Built for Blue-Water Cruising
This is a 2006 Lagoon 440 Owner’s Version, extensively modernized, upgraded, and rebuilt by MVI Boat Composites.
The original hull is from 2006 and remains in excellent condition. The rig and engines are also in very good condition — and almost everything else onboard has been newly built, upgraded, or replaced to a modern 2026 standard.
In many ways, this is the closest thing you can find to a brand-new Lagoon 440 from the factory — because nearly everything inside and onboard has been built new.
New marine-grade wiring.
New electrical system.
New panels and switches.
New plumbing.
New pumps and freshwater systems.
New lightweight composite interior.
New beds, sofas, cabinets, tables, and flooring.
New galley equipment.
New smart power system.
New finishes throughout.
This is not just a cosmetic refit.
It is a complete modernization and performance upgrade of a proven blue-water catamaran platform.
Built on the legendary Lagoon 440, this boat now offers a rare combination of proven design, modern systems, lower weight, stronger structure, offshore confidence, and luxury comfort.
Why This Lagoon 440 Is Different
Most older catamarans come with years of hidden maintenance: old wiring, old plumbing, tired interiors, heavy factory furniture, aging pumps, worn systems, and outdated equipment.
This Lagoon 440 is different.
At MVI Boat Composites, we upgraded this boat with one clear goal:
To keep the proven Lagoon 440 platform, while bringing the boat as close as possible to a new 2026 cruising catamaran standard.
The result is a Lagoon 440 that is:
Lighter
Stronger
Quieter
More modern
More comfortable
Easier to maintain
Better prepared for offshore cruising
Upgraded for improved performance
Performance Upgrade Through Weight Reduction
One of the most important upgrades on this boat is the major reduction in weight.
The original heavy wood furniture and molded factory units were removed and replaced with lightweight composite and honeycomb construction.
Instead of traditional plywood, the new interior was built using advanced composite materials, then bonded and glassed into the hulls. This creates a stronger, more solid feel while removing unnecessary weight.
Less weight means:
Better light-wind performance
Easier acceleration
Higher average passage speeds
Less load on the structure
More efficient long-distance cruising
A quieter and more solid interior feel
The interior does more than look beautiful — it becomes part of the boat’s structure, supporting, stiffening, and strengthening the hulls.
Factory-Style Sugar Scoop Extensions
The sterns were professionally extended and fully blended into the original hull lines, creating a clean factory-style appearance.
The top surface is finished with original-style molded non-skid, giving the extensions the same factory look, safety, and walking surface as the original boat.
The sugar scoop extensions improve:
More speed from the longer waterline
Easier access in and out of the dinghy
Safety — added flotation
This is not a simple add-on.
It was built as an integrated part of the boat, with a factory-style finish that looks like it belongs there.
Structural Reinforcement — Offshore Ready
Key structural areas were upgraded and reinforced using epoxy, vacuum process, and marine composite construction standards.
Upgrades include:
Main bulkheads reinforced port-to-starboard
Factory tabbing replaced and upgraded
Additional Lagoon reinforcement areas improved
Bridge deck strengthened for offshore loads
Lightweight composite interior bonded into the hulls
Key load areas reinforced for serious blue-water cruising
The result is a stronger, stiffer, and more confident offshore cruising catamaran.

The result is:
Lighter • Stronger • Quieter • More Luxurious

Performance Philosophy
This boat was built with one main idea:
Reduce unnecessary weight, strengthen the right areas, modernize the systems, and create a better offshore cruising catamaran.
By replacing heavy plywood furniture with lightweight composite construction, reinforcing key structural areas, and upgrading the boat with modern systems, this Lagoon 440 becomes faster, stronger, quieter, and more efficient.
Owners can expect:
Better acceleration
Better light-wind performance
More comfortable offshore passages
Less structural stress
A more solid and quiet interior
Improved long-term cruising reliability
This is a Lagoon 440 upgraded for performance — not by making it extreme, but by making it smarter, lighter, stronger, and more modern.
