If youโre going to be on the island on 19th March, hereโs what you need to know about NYEPI - BALIโs SACRED DAY OF SILENCE.

This is one of the most spiritually significant days in Bali โ a full 24-hour period of silence, reflection, and stillness observed across the entire island.

๐ Who does it affect? EVERYONE โ locals and tourists included.
โ ๏ธ What to expect:
๐น The whole island goes quiet โ streets are still and businesses close.
๐น Everyone must stay inside their accommodation for the full 24 hours.
(6am on 19th to 6am on 20th March)
๐น Mobile signal will be turned off, but Wi-Fi should still work
๐น Lights and electricity use should be kept to a minimum in respect of the tradition.
