Sometimes, you have to put yourself forward. 🥃

The World Whiskies Awards brings together whiskies from around the world, giving producers the chance to showcase what they’ve created on a global stage.

And that recognition can mean a lot. From helping a wh**ky stand out on the shelf to giving the wider team something to celebrate and talk about, we’ve seen the value an award can bring over the years.

As Bradley Weir puts it, if you believe in what you’ve created, the best thing you can do is enter.

With the World Whiskies Awards 2027 entry deadline approaching on 18 September, now is the time to get your entry completed.

🏆 Entries close 18 September 2026.

What does a judge actually look for when a wh**ky lands in front of them? 🥃

We asked World Whiskies Awards judge Nick Crutchfield to talk us through what he’s looking for at the judging table, why he chooses to be part of the World Whiskies Awards, and why producers should consider putting their wh**ky forward.

It’s a chance to hear directly from someone on the other side of the judging table and get a little insight into what goes into the process.

If you’ve been thinking about entering this year, now is the time.

🌍 What makes the World Whiskies Awards different?

For us, it’s the people around the judging table.

Our judges bring different palates, perspectives and experiences from across the wh**ky world. That diversity matters. It means every wh**ky is discussed, challenged and considered from more than one point of view.

And there’s real scrutiny involved. Every entry is given the attention it deserves, with honest, objective judging at the heart of the process.

Because when we say we’re celebrating the world’s best whiskies, we take the responsibility of finding them seriously.

Think your wh**ky belongs in the conversation?
