hen, Oman Moving and Storage has made specialised van transport its own niche market using air-ride vans and every innovation which has been developed for safe and secure transport of all manner of consignments such as cantilever tail-lifts, load restraints and the latest material handling equipment. In 1994 Oman was the first Moving and Storage Removals Company in Ireland to attain ISO 9002 Quality Management accreditation working with the Irish Institute for Industrial Research & Standards with the National Standards Authority of Ireland and the Irish Overseas Transport Association to make this Quality Standard available to the Irish Transport Industry. Oman has retained this accreditation and enhanced its procedures constantly to become one of the leaders in the Removals & Storage industry. In the specialised sphere of International Moving, the professional governing body, FIDI, initiated a Quality Standard (FAIM) specifically addressing the complexities of packing, lifting, moving, forwarding and storage furniture, Fine Art, personal effects, and office goods. Again, Oman Removals Company was one of the first to be accredited and hold FAIM ISO which is the FAIM standard taken to the ISO level. OMNI, the global consortium of the most professional, independent moving companies into the business, has recognised the Oman commitment to excellence with their Gold Award in 2000. As a business-to-business Service Provider, Oman meets the exacting standards set by companies relocating their offices or personnel within Ireland and internationally. Our facilities are the largest and most modern in Ireland –a comprehensive fleet of moving vans including the smallest vans for tightest access to the largest road trains and air-rid jumbo trailers. In 1996 Oman opened in Cork city. After 2 years of successful operation Oman Cork, moved into a newly constructed 10,000 square feet warehouse on the airport road to cater for our ever-increasing list of corporate clients in that region. In March 2000, Oman Removals Company Dublin moved into a newly constructed facility. This purpose-built state of the art facility covers 5 acres incorporating 88,000 square feet of truck parking space, 70,000 of warehouse space of 2 levels with mezzanine floor and 12,000 square feet of office space. At our high security Warehouse on the Naas Road at Kill, we have Ireland’s only computer-controlled Gantry System controlling a stack of over 200 steel containers, holding customer’s goods in totally secure storage. We also have climate-controlled storage for computer media, documents, securities, and high value artworks.
