For me, the best honeymoons aren’t necessarily about choosing the most expensive destination or hotel. They’re about finding somewhere that feels right for you, and that can be totally different for every couple. Whether it’s total relaxation, an incredible adventure or maybe a bit of both, I think every honeymoon should be completely unique ❤️

From the classic honeymoon icons (hello Maldives) to somewhere a little more unexpected (Japan anyone?)…there are so many incredible places in this fascinating world to choose from.

Maybe you’re be torn between somewhere full of adventure and culture, or somewhere luxurious where you can fully switch off and relax, or why not choose somewhere you can do both.

I had to include Hawaii in the list of course, as it was my own honeymoon and I wouldn’t change it for the world, but I’ve also added Bora Bora…as it’s now top of my ultimate bucket list!

October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month and this just appeared on my memories 🤍

One year ago we found out our family would be growing while on holiday in Portugal, after trying for a while. Those two little lines should now be nearly 4 months old, or the next two should be due in a couple of weeks, or the next two arriving on Boxing Day. Sadly in that year we’ve lost all three, and since the last in May, we haven’t seen those two lines again 🥺

I was a bit hesitant about posting this, but October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, so it felt fitting. It’s been almost six months since I first shared what we’re going through and I had so many lovely messages, as well so many from people who’ve been in the same boat. In a weird way sharing made me feel better literally the second I posted, nearly like a weight lifted so maybe it will be the same for someone else ❤️

It’s a pretty sh*t club to be in, but knowing there’s so many others in it, or who have been, does help in some strange way. I could sit and write all day here as I find it oddly therapeutic (anyone who knows me will also know I’m a bit weird and don’t love real-life emotion 🙃)

Pregnancy loss is something people don’t talk about enough and there is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of or any reason to hide it, unless of course you want to. And for those on the other side of the conversation, please know it’s nothing to feel awkward about. Normal life and this horrible situation can co-exist, and it has to. I’m very open and honest about this whole thing, maybe a bit too matter-of-fact at times 🥲, but it’s not a secret I’m trying to hide. We talk about almost everything else in life, so why not this?

One year ago we had absolutely no idea of everything that was going to happen over the next 365 days (probably a good thing 🫣), but who knows what the next year might bring 🌈

For now, life goes on and it’s business as usual, raising a 4 (going on 14 😏) year old and running this little business that I am incredibly lucky and very grateful to have ❤️
