Requesting authorities to kindly depute government buses at prominent locations to ferry the needy to Indira Canteen s and drop them back adhering to the Covid protocols and norms, or via PPP model using private buses, atleast the bus drivers can earn their living that way. Its impossible otherwise for them to commute. By not doing so, they may look for shelter near the canteen areas, which can again increase the chances of infection. Need of the hour is ample public washrooms that are hygienic near the canteens, We do not want them to defecate on the streets! Also distribution of fresh masks at the canteens. Reusing masks is dangerous, and we hear reports of different colored fungii.
Our meal distribution will stop on 23rd May, I thank my bro Azfar n our team, donors and wellwishers, we could feed nearly 10k meals. Tomorrow and day after we will Create awareness programs to ensure the needy get to eat 3 times a day at those canteens.
