At 4,000 meters, we are riding from Nako to Kaza via the ancient Dhankar Monastery and you gotta look at the detailing of the pic.

And This is where the Himalayas stoped feeling like mountains to me and I started feeling like being on another planet.

A ribbon of road carved into a barren mountainside, hanging above the Spiti River, with snow-covered giants standing guard in the distance. Every corner hides another postcard, every kilometer pulls you deeper into the wilderness.

Look closely at the riders. Tiny against the scale of the landscape. Just dots on a road that seems impossible to build, yet impossible not to ride. That's the beauty of Spiti. It reminds you how small you are and how alive you feel.

The road snakes along sheer drops, follows the river through a vast high-altitude desert, and twists beneath peaks rising over 6,000 meters. One moment you're focused on the next bend, the next you're distracted by scenery so unreal it feels computer-generated.

The thrill here isn't speed. It's the feeling of riding on the edge of the world.

Nako to Dhankar is not just a route. It's one of those rare stretches of road that stays with you long after the engine goes silent.

Raw. Rugged. Remote. Pure Himalayas.

At the gateway to Spiti Valley, we ride towards Nako — a fascinating little Himalayan town tucked away at 3,600 meters.

From here, the adventure steps into another league.

We are now riding along the Indo-China border, with the river carving its way through the valley below. On one side, towering mountains. On the other, sheer drops of 500 feet, and in some places well over 1,000 feet.

Every day, we climb higher. The air gets thinner, the landscapes get wilder, and the ride becomes more unreal.

And this is just the beginning.

By the end of the expedition, we will stand at nearly 5,800 meters, riding some of the highest roads on the planet.

The Himalayas don't reveal themselves all at once. They unfold layer by layer, mile by mile, until you find yourself riding in a world that feels beyond Earth.
