Tadkeshwar Mahadev Temple is an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, located around 38 km from Lansdowne in Uttarakhand. This place is famous for the Lord Shiva idol, the hallowed atmosphere and the serene beauty surrounding the holy place. There is so much of positivity all around, yes you have to around 1.5 km but that walk is so serene that you enjoy that too. 🕉️

The Puri Jagannath Temple is special for its tribal origins, its large-scale Ratha Yatra (Chariot Festival), the unique nature of its deity's idols, the temple's divine mysteries like no shadow or flying direction of the flag, and its sacred food offerings (prasad) that are never wasted, along with its cultural significance as a major pilgrimage site in India. Its the 4th dham kaliyuga Dham where Lord Vishnu is residing in present.

The temple is dedicated to Lord Jagannath (a form of Krishna), along with his elder brother Balabhadra and younger sister Subhadra.

Ratha Yatra is one of the most famous events is the annual Ratha Yatra, where the deities are taken out on massive chariots, an event from which the English word "juggernaut" originates.

It's said the temple does not cast a shadow at any point in the day.
The flag atop the temple dome is said to flutter in the opposite direction of the prevailing wind, requiring a priest to climb the walls daily to change it.
Birds and planes are reported to avoid flying over the temple's central dome, creating a "no-fly zone".

The temple's kitchen prepares a unique sacred food offering known as prasad, which is never insufficient, even for thousands of devotees.

The largest and the most sacred shrine of the Temples is the Lingaraj Temple. The temple is devoted to Lord Harihara, which essentially means it is dedicated to Hari (Lord Vishnu) and Hara (Lord Shiva). It means we worship god with Tulsi leaves as well as bel leaves.
This place of worship is a Swayambhu (self-manifested) Shivalinga, which is believed to be 8 feet in diameter and 8 inches tall. An architectural wonder, the Lingaraj Temple is a must visit place for Hindus. In the premises there is a beautiful Temple of Maa Parvati.
