Thailand has decided to continue visa-free entry for Indian travellers, reversing an earlier plan to remove the facility.
The decision comes after a drop in tourist arrivals from India due to uncertainty over the proposed changes, even though the new rule had not officially come into effect.
However, the maximum visa-free stay for Indian visitors has been reduced from 60 days to 30 days.
Thailand considers India one of its biggest tourism markets, and officials said the change is aimed at matching travel patterns while supporting the tourism industry.
The revised 30-day visa-free rule will also apply to visitors from countries including Croatia, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Malta, and the Maldives.
